About the Role

You will play a central role in leading the design and delivery of our BSc (Hons) Computer Science and BSc (Hons) Software Engineering programmes on our campus. You should have a good knowledge of Computer Science / Software Engineering, as you will be expected to design/develop course materials with guidance from other colleagues and teach those programmes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop course materials for Computer Science / Software Engineering programmes
  • Teach Computer Science / Software Engineering programmes
  • Have a good knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, Haskell, C, PHP, JavaScript, SQL, and data structures and algorithms, concurrency, software architecture, design patterns
  • Have experience of teaching in areas such as theoretical computer science including quantitative methods, logic and complexity analysis, computer architecture and low-level assembly-language programming, professional issues in computing, databases, computer networks, cybersecurity, web and mobile app development
Requirements

You will normally be expected to have a good Honours degree and PhD in a relevant area or equivalent professional experience to enable you to contribute to the delivery of our programmes and provide student support.
