At LocalBH, our fintech startup in the GCC region, we're seeking a skilled Tech Lead/Architect to guide our technical architecture and drive platform development strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  1. System Architecture Design: Develop and oversee the system architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and high performance. This involves making strategic technology decisions and driving high-quality development standards.
  2. Technology Stack Decisions: Evaluate and select appropriate technologies that align with the platform's needs and future growth. We're looking for someone who can assess trade-offs and make informed decisions.
  3. Technical Planning: Lead planning sessions to outline technical requirements, timelines, and deliverables. Effective project management is crucial for success.
  4. Code Quality and Standards: Maintain high standards for code quality and performance by setting and enforcing coding guidelines. Code reviews and continuous improvement are essential.
  5. Team Mentorship: Guide and support the development team, offering technical mentorship to foster growth and skills development. We value professional development and opportunities for learning.
  6. Technical Debt Management: Identify and manage technical debt to ensure the long-term health and agility of the codebase. Prioritize debt repayment and plan for future investment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  1. Extensive Software Development Experience: 7+ years in software development, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality products. We need someone with depth and breadth of experience.
  2. Strong React/Next.js Background: Proficient in using React and Next.js for building responsive and high-performance applications. We're looking for expertise in modern front-end development.
  3. Microservices Architecture: Solid experience in designing and implementing microservices-based architectures. Microservices expertise is crucial for our platform's success.
  4. Cloud Infrastructure Expertise: Knowledgeable in cloud platforms and services, including deployment and management. We need someone who can handle cloud infrastructure effectively.
  5. Security and Payment Systems Knowledge: Understanding of security protocols and payment system integration. Protecting sensitive information and maintaining compliance is vital.
  6. Team Leadership: Demonstrated experience in leading technical teams, including project management and resource planning. Strong leadership and communication skills are required.
