Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing innovative GIS solutions using ESRI ArcGIS Server. This includes designing, implementing, and supporting web applications, mobile apps, and enterprise systems based on the ArcGIS API.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop customized web applications, services, and mobile solutions for clients utilizing Esri ArcGIS APIs.
  2. Coding and deploying GIS web editing/mapping applications.
  3. Developing ArcGIS Mobile applications.
  4. Conducting performance, unit, system, integration, and quality assurance testing of applications.
  5. Creating comprehensive technical specifications and support documentation.
  6. Collaborating with developers to design and develop public-facing web mapping sites for spatial data management, manipulation, and visualization.
  7. Assisting with application development estimating, planning, and progress tracking.
  8. Participating actively in software development lifecycle activities.
  9. Interfacing with customers to identify, develop, and implement custom components for ArcGIS.
  10. Upgrading existing ArcGIS Server applications to current versions.
  11. Developing geoprocessing and GIS web services.
  12. Contributing to knowledge sharing and teaching others.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in GIS, Computer Science/IT, or related field. ESRI Technical Certifications – Developer/Enterprise preferred. Minimum 5 years' experience in ESRI ArcGIS Development.

  • Esri JavaScript API for Esri ArcGIS Server.
  • Esri Portal for ArcGIS/ArcGIS Online.
  • Esri ArcObjects.
  • Esri ArcGIS Desktop.
  • Esri ArcSDE/Oracle geodatabases.
  • Esri Services/Map Services.
  • Ability to develop various Map Services including Feature Services, Geocode Services, Geometry Services, Geoprocessing Services, Image Services, KML Services, Mobile Data Services, and OGC Services.
  • AJAX, JavaScript, VB Script, or Python.
  • Knowledge of ArcGIS Server Advanced Enterprise architecture.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with industry-standard technologies such as HTML, CSS, XML, XSLT, Git, HTML5, Dojo, etc.
  • Comfort working in Microsoft or Java-based realms.
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas to technical peers, project managers, or customers.
  • Knowledge of geospatial concepts such as spatial analysis, map projections, etc.
  • Experience with current technology implementation patterns including service-oriented and cloud.
  • Knowledge of IT security concepts within Esri technology.
  • Low Code development experience is mandatory (preferably Mendix).

Preferred Skills

Experience in Agile Methodology. Knowledge of iOS & Android SDKs. Experience in User Experience (UX) and Testing. Development Experience in ArcGIS WebADF, Silverlight, and FLEX. Ability to develop additional Map Services including Esri GeoEvent processor, Globe Services, Schematics Services, Stream Services, Cache Services, and Custom Esri Services. Microsoft Visual Studio. Microsoft .NET C#. .NET Web Services. Esri Image server Oracle Spatial.
