Educational Support Specialist

As an Educational Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our students. Your primary responsibility will be to provide administrative support to educators and staff members.

Duties:

  • Maintaining accurate attendance records
  • Organizing and managing paperwork
  • Scheduling appointments and meetings
  • Reviewing assignments to ensure timely completion

Supporting Educational Efforts:

You will work closely with educators to support educational efforts in the Pre-Kindergarten classroom and general education classroom as needed. This may involve collaborating with teachers to develop lesson plans, providing individualized support to students, and monitoring their progress.

Student Support:

Your responsibilities will also include providing individualized support to students during various phases of the school day, including assistance with toileting, feeding, eating, and personal hygiene.

Requirements:

  • Able to perform a Tier 1 (T1) investigation with Childcare Checks
  • Meet the education and/or experience requirements outlined below

Qualifications:

  • One year of progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of an Educational Aid (Special Education)
  • Two years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college, or university

Evaluation Criteria:

  • Communications and Media Interpersonal Skills Standards Teaching Others Education Foreign Degrees And Course Work From Non-accredited Institutions
