Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Technician to support the sustainment and modernization of various naval networks and systems.

  • Key areas of responsibility include:
  1. Sustainment and Modernization: Perform system installations, upgrades, configuration management, and CASREP support to ensure readiness of servers, networking devices, and peripherals.
  2. Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis and recommend configuration changes to support mission objectives.
  3. Troubleshooting and Integration: Coordinate support with technicians, shipboard crews, contractors, and vendors for troubleshooting and system integration.
  4. Customer Interface: Interact with customers to maintain shipboard networks and equipment.
  5. Technical Reporting: Attend technical meetings, report progress, and prepare data for reports.
  6. Certification and Experience: Possess current IAT Level II or higher security certification per DoD 8570.01M, with the ability to obtain Computing Environment certification within 6 months.
  7. Preferred Qualifications: Having 5+ years of progressive IT experience in an enterprise environment, with knowledge of CANES, ADNS, CENTRIXS, ISNS, SCI networks, Windows Server, and Cisco devices preferred.
  8. Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel to Chesapeake, VA for up to one month for training.
  9. Work Schedule: Ability to work overtime, take ship rides if necessary, and drive as needed.
