Job Description
  • Inspect site conditions to ensure suitability for designed permanent works
  • Provide practical advice on constructional matters
  • Inspect construction, including temporary works, to ensure compliance with approved methods and contract requirements
  • Maintain records of inspections, work executed, etc.
  • DIRECT Inspectors and ensure performance
  • Assist in or measure work done when required
  • Observe site safety procedures
  • Assist in preparation of 'as-built' drawings
  • Assist with inspection of completed works, prepare snag lists and handover to operating authority
  • May administer welder qualification tests
  • May provide technical guidance to lower-level inspectors

This role requires a strong background in civil or structural engineering, with at least 12 years of related experience in construction supervision on roads, bridges, and utilities projects. A diploma or degree in a related field is also required.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Diploma or Degree in Civil, or Structural Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum 12 years related construction supervision experience on roads, bridges and utilities projects
  • Preferably with related work experience in Bahrain, or GCC in an engineering consulting firm
  • Knowledge and experience using computer software
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate logically and clearly with management and staff
  • Commitment to safe work practices
