Job Purpose

Provide technical support in Science Laboratories (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) by implementing the SABIS Educational System to ensure an environment conducive to learning.

About the Role

  • Implementing health and safety procedures in the lab to maintain a safe working environment
  • Coordinating equipment maintenance and repairs to ensure smooth lab operations
  • Managing stock control of chemicals and equipment to prevent shortages and wastage
  • Preparing solutions and indicator solutions for experiments
  • Liaising with Heads of Departments to prepare timetables and set requirements for lab use

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and protocols
  • Conducting trials of experiments prior to classes to ensure smooth running
  • Distributing science posters to classes for display each term
  • Working closely with teachers during lab sessions and helping students when needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in a related subject or equivalent
  • English proficiency and communication skills
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Ability to work within a team
