**Fire Protection Services**

Vectrus seeks a dedicated Firefighter to protect life and property through firefighting and rescue operations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Respond to emergency calls and provide fire protection services to minimize damage to property and treat injuries.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance skills in firefighting and rescue operations.
  • Operate fire apparatus and related equipment with precision and efficiency.
  • Clean and maintain fire equipment, vehicles, and facilities.
  • Submit accurate and timely reports on fire incidents using NFIRS standards.
  • Work on holidays, including US and Bahraini holidays, as required.
  • Maintain medical certification to perform job duties.
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Requirements:
    • One year of experience may be substituted for one year of education if a degree is required.
    • Preferred certifications include Firefighter I and II, Airport Firefighter, Hazmat Awareness/Operations, Confined Space, Rescue Technician, American Heart CPR, and National Registry Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (NREMT-B).
    • Driver/Operator Certification for Pumper, Tender, and ARFF is also required.
    • NIMS 100, 200, 700, and 800 certifications are necessary.
    • Certifications must be posted on DOD, IFSAC, or Pro-Board Accreditation websites or able to be reciprocated to DOD.
    • Excellent communication and cognitive skills are essential for handling emergency operations.
    • Good computer skills are necessary for daily reporting requirements.
    • Interpersonal skills are crucial for effective team dynamics.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access, is required.
  • Desirable Experience:
    • At least 3-5 years' experience with an organized fire department is preferred.
  • Key Skills:
    • Strong communication and cognitive skills to handle emergency situations effectively.
    • Good computer skills for reporting purposes.
    • Effective interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
