Job Summary:

Gulf Air Group is seeking an experienced Airworthiness Specialist - Aircraft Structures to join our team. As a key member of our technical services function, you will be responsible for ensuring that all technical activities are carried out in accordance with industry standards and company policies.

Main Objectives:

  • Evaluate and implement complex technical issues related to aircraft structures.
  • Review and analyze manufacturers/regulatory authority documents, such as ADs, SBs, SILs, and All Operators Telexes.
  • Provide technical support to the maintenance department for troubleshooting and damage assessment.
  • Control and manage aircraft dent and buckle/structural repair charts.
  • Conduct damage assessments and determine the best course of action for rectification.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Utilize technical expertise and practical experience to disposition complex technical issues.
  2. Evaluate all manufacturers/regulatory authority documents by completing Engineering Documents Review and making independent decisions regarding implementation based on analysis of available data.
  3. Issue appropriate documents via MIS (AMOS) such as DO; JC; MSN; and EB, ensuring it is carried out to the highest industry standard.
  4. Provide technical support to the maintenance department for troubleshooting and damage assessment by direct involvement in the works and by issuance and follow-up of inquiries for support by the aircraft manufacturer or vendor.
  5. Carry out damage assessment and determines the best course of action for rectification.
  6. Liaise with Boeing/Airbus Service Engineering on getting timely approval of repairs.
  7. Follow up on establishment of inspections for continuing airworthiness requirements.
  8. Liaise with Boeing/Airbus Engineering in continuous development of SRM repairs.
  9. Produce the necessary reports in case of technical investigations or analysis performed.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in aircraft structure maintenance, with a minimum of 5+ years in structure technical services function.
  • At least 3 years at GFA type fleet (A320/B787) desirable.
  • Bachelor degree in Aerospace Engineering/Aircraft Engineering/Aeronautical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering.
  • Very good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
  • Good knowledge of IT tools (Office products). AMOS knowledge highly desirable.
