**Physical Demands**

The role of a Firefighter at Vectrus requires physical stamina and adaptability to work in hazardous and stressful conditions.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lift up to 50 lbs., stoop, climb, stand for prolonged periods, sit for prolonged periods, and work in areas where exposure to weather could exist.
• Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in certain areas, including head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
• Comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations, and published Company work rules.

Requirements:

• Minimum Requirements:
  • One year of experience may be substituted for one year of education if a degree is required.
  • Preferred certifications include Firefighter I and II, Airport Firefighter, Hazmat Awareness/Operations, Confined Space, Rescue Technician, American Heart CPR, and National Registry Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (NREMT-B).
  • Driver/Operator Certification for Pumper, Tender, and ARFF is also required.
  • NIMS 100, 200, 700, and 800 certifications are necessary.
  • Certifications must be posted on DOD, IFSAC, or Pro-Board Accreditation websites or able to be reciprocated to DOD.
  • Excellent communication and cognitive skills are essential for handling emergency operations.
  • Good computer skills are necessary for daily reporting requirements.
  • Interpersonal skills are crucial for effective team dynamics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access, is required.
• Desirable Experience:
  • At least 3-5 years' experience with an organized fire department is preferred.
• Key Abilities:
  • Strong communication and cognitive skills to handle emergency situations effectively.
  • Good computer skills for reporting purposes.
  • Effective interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
