Job Title: Advanced Therapist

The advanced therapist provides high-level therapeutic treatments tailored to client needs, supports team development through mentorship and training, and ensures the highest standards of service and professionalism in a luxurious spa environment. This role is ideal for a highly skilled therapist that can perform various types of massage therapy with leadership qualities and a deep knowledge of wellness practices.

About the Role:

1. Deliver exceptional spa experiences for clients by performing a wide range of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, facial treatment, and trigger point therapy.
2. Evaluate clients' physical condition and symptoms to recommend personalized treatment plans and enhance their overall well-being.
3. Mentor junior massage therapists, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure they meet the high standards of our spa.
4. Ensure accurate and confidential record-keeping of client information.
5. Contribute to the development of wellness programs and treatment protocols to maintain our position as a leading spa resort.
6. Foster a culture of excellence by upholding and modeling high standards of hygiene, safety, and customer care.
7. Stay current with industry trends and continuing education to continually improve skills and stay ahead of the curve.
8. Provide input on treatment menus, products, and service enhancements to drive innovation and guest satisfaction.
9. Handle complex or high-pressure situations with poise and professionalism, maintaining confidentiality and discretion when necessary.
10. Support operational needs such as scheduling, inventory management, and equipment maintenance to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.

Requirements:

1. Hold a certification and license as a massage therapist, adhering to local/state requirements.
2. Possess a minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in massage therapy and be fluent in Arabic.
3. Demonstrate expertise in multiple massage modalities and therapeutic techniques, including hydrotherapy.
4. Display a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology to provide effective treatment plans.
5. Previous experience mentoring or supervising other therapists is an asset.
6. Exhibit excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills to build strong relationships with guests and colleagues.
7. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred or required depending on the work setting.

Work Environment:

1. Working in a serene and luxurious spa environment within a Sofitel wellness center/resort.
2. Requires physical stamina and ability to be on your feet or performing treatments for extended periods.
3. May include evening, weekend, or holiday shifts based on facility hours to accommodate guest preferences.
