Automation Specialist

About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced Automation Technician to join our team in Bahrain. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing and utility sections.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to LOTO, GMP, and HACCP protocols.
• Install, configure, and maintain automation systems, resolving issues with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, Robots, and industrial networks independently.
• Perform hands-on debugging of faults in PLCs, communication networks, SCADA & process instruments.
• Troubleshoot and maintain electrical drives (Sinamics, Danfoss, SEW, Power Flex) and industrial equipment.
• Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to resolve technical issues and improve system reliability.
• Read single-line diagrams, P&IDs, and technical documentation.
• Perform effective preventive maintenance and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using SAP.
• Support automation projects, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and maintenance of Domino industrial printers.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation or maintenance.
• Experience in the food manufacturing industry is highly desirable.

Communication Protocols:

• Profinet, Profibus, Modbus RS485, AS-Interface (ASI), IO-Link

Drives & Motors:

• Sinamics, Danfoss, SEW-Eurodrive, PowerFlex
• AC/DC motors and servo motor systems

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional teamwork.
• Adaptability and resilience in fast-paced, dynamic industrial environments.
