We're looking for a talented Senior Java Developer to join our xVA Technology team, which is responsible for developing and enhancing strategic systems and services that support traders, salespeople, risk managers, financial controllers, and operations staff across the globe.

Your Role

You will be working closely with our product team to analyze requirements and build specifications for our risk management applications. As a Senior Java Developer, you'll contribute to the development of high-quality, modern, and scalable application software that meets our business and regulatory goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing high-quality, modern, and scalable application software contributing towards xVA business and regulatory goals
  • Participating in a fast-paced Agile development process
  • Adhering to development, integration, and deployment best practices
  • Performing code reviews to ensure design and coding standards are upheld
  • Working proactively on diverse and innovative solutions
  • Collaborating with the product team on requirement analysis and build specification
  • Communicating effectively with support, other development teams, and infrastructure teams
  • Conducting thorough automated testing using unit and integration tests
  • Contributing to architectural standards, development best practices, and promoting adherence to these standards
  • Supporting the release planning and post-release activities
  • Influencing the strategy of the team

Your Background

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of 6-10 years of experience in app development or systems analysis roles
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or an equivalent field
  • Prior experience working with Java, MongoDB, Kafka, and cloud platforms like Kubernetes or OpenShift
  • A strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and RESTful APIs
  • Proficiency in industry-standard tools like IntelliJ, Bitbucket, Git, Gradle, Jenkins, Junit, Mockito, and TDD
