New Parent Support Specialist - Community Resource Connector

We are looking for a dedicated professional to provide home visiting services to expectant parents and families with children under three years of age. This role involves assessing and supporting families to reduce child abuse risk, offering parenting education, and connecting families to essential community resources.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in social work or nursing and at least three years of experience in maternal/child health, child development, or public health. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing home visiting services using the Nurturing Parenting Program for at-risk families.
  • Reporting suspected child abuse or domestic violence to local authorities and Family Advocacy Representatives in compliance with Navy and state regulations.
  • Ensuring NPS services and emergency preparedness activities are accurately tracked and recorded in the Navy FFSMIS system.
