Multilingual Somali Specialist

We are looking for a Multilingual Somali Specialist to grow our talented team globally towards our mission's success. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in an assigned area of responsibility, you will contribute to U.S. military operations in Bahrain by providing linguistic expertise.

• Collaborate with senior leadership staff to ensure seamless communication and understanding of regional trends.
• Analyze foreign language documents to extract key information, enhancing decision-making capabilities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, leveraging your language skills to facilitate effective communication.

• Must be a U.S. citizen with exceptional verbal skills in Somali and English.
• Achieve ILR proficiency level 3 in target language and proficiency level 3 in English based on oral language skills examination.
• Hold a valid U.S. passport or apply for one upon acceptance.
• Possess an active Top Secret/SCI clearance or obtain it prior to deployment.
• Be willing to work flexible hours, including extended periods in Bahrain and aboard Navy vessels.
• Comply with local culture and customs while working abroad.
• Meet Army MOD16 requirements upon hiring.
