We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, as well as providing excellent customer service to end-users.
The selected individual will be responsible for providing timely and effective support to ensure smooth operation of IT systems and minimize downtime. This includes delivering consistent and high-quality service to users within department procedures.
The job involves offering expert advice, training, and problem resolution for computer equipment usage. The successful candidate will also provide on-premises and remote support to resolve end-user problems promptly.
The role requires identifying and resolving hardware and software issues via the organization's ticketing system or email. Additionally, the IT Support Specialist will install, upgrade, and troubleshoot enterprise applications, interact and support multiple computer platforms in a client-server environment, and resolve network connectivity issues in LAN/WAN/WLAN environments.
Key responsibilities include installing, upgrading, and troubleshooting Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and other authorized desktop applications, as well as printers and other computer equipment. The individual will also monitor, operate, manage, and troubleshoot personal computers or netbooks authorized by the internal IT manager.
Other key tasks involve providing support for IP telephones and conference room setup with interactive TV and projector, identifying, evaluating, and prioritizing end-user problems and complaints, managing and supporting new technologies adopted by the business, creating, modifying, and deleting user accounts in different systems, deploying new installations, upgrading hardware, and identifying faults prior to informing vendors or related IT parties.
The IT Support Specialist will also administer server storage capacity, monitor data collisions, and rectify issues ensuring correct deployment, participate in disaster recovery procedure testing to ensure efficient reinstatement without data loss, and monitor network connectivity, servers, and telephone systems ensuring smooth operation.
A key part of this role is ensuring incident and problem case logs are handled appropriately and associated with network infrastructure components reviewed diligently.
