Job description:

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Data Warehousing Specialist / Power BI Developer with strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and modern data architectures. The ideal candidate will design, build, and optimize scalable data warehousing solutions, develop high-impact dashboards, and support enterprise-wide data analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Warehousing & Architecture

  • Design and implement end-to-end data warehousing solutions using Microsoft Fabric, including Data Lakehouse, Data Engineering pipelines, and Warehouse objects.
  • Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Fabric Data Factory, Dataflows Gen2, and other Fabric components.
  • Optimize data models to support high-performance analytics and reporting.
  • Implement data quality, data governance, and security best practices.
  • Integrate data from diverse sources such as ERP, CRM, databases, APIs, and cloud systems.

Power BI Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and enterprise reports using Power BI.
  • Build optimized semantic models, DAX calculations, measures, and KPIs.
  • Configure Row Level Security (RLS) and workspace governance.
  • Publish, manage, and maintain datasets and reports within Microsoft Fabric and Power BI Service.

Analytics & Business Support

  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting and analytics requirements.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and performance tuning for BI solutions.
  • Ensure alignment between business needs and data architecture standards.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 6–10 years of experience in Data Warehousing, BI development, and data analytics.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouses, Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2).
  • Expert in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modeling, dashboards).
  • Solid understanding of cloud data architectures (Azure preferred).
  • Strong SQL skills across relational databases (Azure SQL, SQL Server, etc.).
  • Experience with ETL/ELT processes, data transformation, and performance optimization.
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance standards.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and translate business needs into technical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., Fabric Analytics Engineer, Power BI Data Analyst).
  • Experience with Python, Azure Databricks, or Synapse Analytics.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for Power BI and Fabric artifacts.
  • Background in reporting for Finance, Operations, HR, or Customer Analytics.
