Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and direct the daily on-site activities related to Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works, ensuring timely and quality execution as per project specifications.
  • Ensure full compliance of all MEP installations with approved shop drawings, technical standards, local authority regulations, and safety codes.
  • Coordinate closely with civil, architectural, and structural teams to facilitate smooth integration of MEP systems within the overall project timeline.
  • Track and report progress of MEP works, identify potential delays, and provide timely input to the project manager for resolution and recovery planning.
  • Conduct routine site inspections to monitor the quality and safety of MEP works, issuing corrective instructions where non-conformance is observed.
  • Support subcontractors and workforce with technical guidance to address execution issues and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Implement and enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures across all MEP site operations.
  • Review and validate technical documents such as shop drawings, coordination layouts, material submittals, and method statements.
  • Organize and supervise the testing, commissioning, and final handover of MEP systems, ensuring functional and defect-free operation.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of site activities, including manpower deployment, material usage, and daily progress reports.
  • Assist in coordinating procurement and timely delivery of MEP-related materials and equipment in accordance with project schedules.
  • Attend internal and external coordination meetings to provide updates, raise technical concerns, and ensure alignment among all stakeholders.
  • Provide post-installation support for MEP systems, including troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and operational handovers.

Requirements and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in MEP site supervision, with strong exposure to villa developments, high-rise buildings, or large-scale construction projects.
  • Broad technical knowledge of MEP systems including HVAC, LV/MV electrical, drainage, water supply, and fire protection systems.
  • Familiarity with Bahraini or GCC regional building codes, safety regulations, and compliance procedures.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage subcontractors, coordinate with multiple disciplines, and drive field productivity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively liaise with engineers, clients, and site teams.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and project coordination tools; knowledge of Revit or MEP-specific software is a plus.
  • Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings, MEP schematics, and specifications.
  • Hands-on problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to on-site challenges.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
