Occupational Therapist

The Occupational Therapist (OT) is a key member of Think's multidisciplinary team, supporting children, teens, and adolescents across home, school, community, and telehealth settings. The OT focuses on sensory regulation, motor development, self-help skills, functional independence, and participation using evidence-based, neuroaffirming, and family-centered practices.

Clinical Assessment & Intervention

• Conduct assessments using standardized and evidence-based tools.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on research-supported procedures.
• Provide 1:1, dyad, and small-group intervention targeting sensory processing, motor skills, functional play, handwriting, executive functioning, and daily living skills.
• Support school-based interventions through observations, teacher coaching, and classroom accommodations.

Collaboration & Parent Support

• Work closely with behavior analysts, speech therapists, physiotherapists, educators, and medical providers.
• Provide evidence-based parent coaching to support carryover at home and in the community.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary meetings and shared goal planning.

Documentation & Professional Standards

• Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and goal updates.
• Use data-driven practices to monitor progress and adjust interventions.
• Uphold Think's safety, ethical, and clinical quality standards.

Community Engagement

• Represent Think in workshops, school meetings, and community trainings.
• Support initiatives promoting inclusion and neurodiversity awareness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Valid Bahrain NHRA license or eligibility.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based OT frameworks (sensory integration, motor learning, functional skills training).
• Strong collaboration and communication skills; Arabic is an advantage.
