Job Title: Senior Purchase Officer

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Purchase Officer to oversee and manage the procurement activities for our group of restaurants. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing high-quality food and non-food items, negotiating with suppliers, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing aligned with company standards and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Management:
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers/vendors for food, beverages, packaging, kitchen equipment, and other restaurant essentials.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, credit terms, and delivery schedules.
- Ensure timely and accurate procurement of items based on restaurant demand and consumption patterns.
- Vendor Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable supply chains.
- Monitor vendor performance in terms of quality, delivery, and compliance with contracts.
- Resolve any supply issues, delivery delays, or product discrepancies.
- Inventory & Cost Control:
- Work closely with inventory and store management teams to monitor stock levels and forecast demand.
- Implement strategies to reduce waste, control costs, and manage inventory turnover effectively.
- Regularly review market trends and pricing to ensure competitive procurement.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure all purchased items meet food safety, quality, and local regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, invoices, and delivery notes.
- Coordinate with finance for timely payment processing and reconciliation.
- Cross-Department Coordination:
- Collaborate with chefs, kitchen managers, and operations to understand menu changes and seasonal requirements.
- Provide support during audits and inspections related to procurement and inventory.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 4–6 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably in the F&B or hospitality industry.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Excellent knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques.
- Familiarity with food safety and handling regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with inventory or procurement software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience in multi-unit restaurant operations.
- Understanding of local and international sourcing
- Strong knowledge of seasonal and perishable goods.
