Female Cleaner

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Gym Cleaner to maintain our facility in a clean, safe, and hygienic condition. The successful candidate will ensure all gym areas, equipment, and facilities meet our high standards of cleanliness while supporting a positive experience for our members.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize all gym equipment, including treadmills, weight machines, free weights, and benches on a daily basis
• Mop, sweep, and vacuum floors in workout areas, locker rooms, restrooms, and common spaces
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners throughout the facility
• Clean and sanitize locker rooms, showers, and restrooms using appropriate cleaning products
• Perform deep cleaning tasks on a scheduled basis, including equipment details and wall/window cleaning
• Maintain cleaning supply inventory and alert management when supplies are low
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation protocols, including OSHA guidelines
• Operate cleaning equipment properly, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and pressure washers
• Report maintenance issues or equipment damage to the Facilities Manager
• Maintain a clean and organized cleaning supply storage area
• Work according to established cleaning schedules, which may include early mornings, evenings, or weekends

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Proven experience in cleaning, housekeeping, or similar custodial role
• Knowledge of cleaning products, chemicals, and safe handling practices
• Physical stamina to stand, bend, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions

Desired Qualifications

• Experience in gym or fitness facility cleaning
• Knowledge of commercial cleaning equipment
• Experience with biohazard cleaning protocols

Physical Requirements

• Comfortable working at heights when cleaning upper areas
• Manual dexterity and coordination

Work Environment

• Fast-paced gym facility environment
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals and detergents
• Early morning, evening, or weekend shifts may be required
• Physical demands of lifting, bending, and repetitive motions

Job Type: Full-time
