Responsibilities
  • Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, cashflow management, forecasting, and reporting etc.
  • Prepare and analyse regulatory reports, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive financial strategy to support business growth goals and regulatory requirements, ensuring all accounting activities and internal audits comply with financial regulations.
  • Maintain and enhance the existing stress testing methodology and scenarios to ensure they continue to meet the needs of and external regulatory requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with regulators, auditors, local banking partners and other external stakeholders.
  • Provide finance and treasury assistance with new business initiatives.
  • Work closely with legal, compliance, and business teams to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the named Finance Officer on specific regulatory licenses as required by authorities in Bahrain, ensuring compliance with licensing obligations.
  • Support other ad hoc duties/ projects assigned.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the Financial Services sector, particularly within regulated environments.
  • Relevant accountancy certifications such as CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIPA, or equivalent.
  • Prior experience as a named Finance Officer or in a similar role for regulatory licenses in Bahrain is highly preferred.
  • Possess a deep understanding of cash flow management, liquidity management, and accounting practices tailored to Bahrain and/or the Middle East region.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
  • Experience with international/multinational companies is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS principles.
  • Knowledge of crypto-related subjects is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the NetSuite (Oracle) system is a plus.
  • Excellent project management, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, with an ability to multitask in a high-growth environment.
  • Demonstrates a proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Passionate about start-ups and the growth of digital assets.
