### **Job Overview**

Spire Hub is a thriving business incubator designed to support startups and entrepreneurs. We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Barista to join our team and enhance the experience of our members and guests. The Barista will be responsible for preparing high-quality coffee and beverages, maintaining a welcoming environment in the café area, and providing exceptional customer service to our vibrant community.

### **Key Responsibilities**

**Coffee and Beverage Preparation**

- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and non-coffee beverages (e.g., espresso, cappuccino, lattes, teas, smoothies) to a high standard.

- Maintain a clean and organized coffee station, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.

- Experiment with new coffee trends and techniques to enhance the beverage offerings.

- Customize beverages based on customer preferences, offering suggestions when needed.

**Customer Service**

- Greet and engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, fostering a welcoming atmosphere at Spire Hub.

- Take and process customer orders accurately, handling cash, card, and digital payments.

- Address any inquiries about the menu, and provide information about different types of coffee and beverages available.

- Ensure prompt and courteous service, especially during busy periods.

**Café Area Management**

- Keep the café area clean, presentable, and stocked with necessary supplies (e.g., cups, napkins, sugar, milk).

- Regularly restock coffee beans, syrups, and other ingredients as needed.

- Monitor and maintain inventory of café supplies, coordinating with the management team for ordering as required.

- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times.

**Community Engagement**

- Build rapport with Spire Hub members, providing a friendly face and creating a sense of community in the café space.

- Participate in hub events and activities by providing beverages for networking sessions, workshops, and member gatherings.

- Act as an ambassador for Spire Hub, helping to foster an environment of collaboration and innovation.

**Other Duties**

- Assist with any additional tasks as directed by the Operations Manager, such as helping with events or setting up coffee for meetings.

- Ensure all café equipment is regularly cleaned, serviced, and maintained in accordance with operational standards.

### **Qualifications**

- Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar customer service role.

- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, espresso machines, and other café equipment.

- Passion for coffee and interest in learning about new coffee trends and brewing methods.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive and welcoming attitude.

- Ability to work well under pressure, especially during peak hours.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.

- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus).
