Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Part-Time IT System Administrator to support our internal IT operations. The ideal candidate will manage hardware and software systems, assist users, maintain network infrastructure, and ensure systems run securely and efficiently. This is a part-time, on-site position based in Manama, Bahrain.

Key Responsibilities

System Support & Maintenance

  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, servers, and network devices
  • Perform routine system monitoring and maintenance tasks
  • Support updates, backups, and recovery processes

Technical Support

  • Provide first-line support to employees for hardware, software, and connectivity issues
  • Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, printer, and network problems
  • Set up and manage user accounts, access rights, and devices

Security & Compliance

  • Ensure antivirus and security updates are active and current
  • Support cybersecurity best practices across systems
  • Assist with compliance to internal IT policies and data protection measures

Documentation & Coordination

  • Maintain IT asset inventory and update configuration records
  • Liaise with vendors for procurement and technical support
  • Assist in implementing IT improvements to enhance performance and reliability

Qualifications

Education:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred)

Certifications (Preferred):

  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+
  • Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Experience:

  • 2–5 years of experience in IT support or systems administration
  • Experience supporting small to medium-sized IT environments is preferred

Key Skills

  • Proficiency in Windows OS and basic server management
  • Working knowledge of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies
  • Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace)
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Work Environment

  • Office-based in Manama, Bahrain
  • Part-time schedule: 2–3 days per week or approx. 20 hours/week (during business hours)
  • May occasionally require extended hours for updates or urgent maintenance
