Fresh Section Manager

They are currently looking for a Fresh Section Manager to be based in Bahrain.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, health & safety regulations and business ethics codes and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the team. Adhere to the Daily Check List.Know and adhere to Quality Standards for customer service.Ensure all new department associates and staff receives proper training and supervision.Manage staff roster and ensure sufficient staff availability at all times in each section including the 24-hour branches.Manage, motivate and evaluate performance of all branch staff.Ensure all department associates and staff wear uniform, are clean and tidy and receive proper training and supervision.Monitor all refrigeration temperature in accordance with Ministry policies and procedures.Responsible for the daily operations of the fresh sections branches and delegate work (including the delegation of work while absent from branch).Responsible for the availability, variety, quality, pricing and display of each fresh category within the fresh section.Responsible for any short dated, expired or damaged items both on display and in branch stores.Responsible for any price difference between shelf and POS.Ensure correct ordering, receiving, unloading and storage of products.Ensure all items received (from local and foreign supply) is non-damaged and good for sale to the customers.Conduct systematic branch visits to ensure the product quality, merchandising and other tasks.Manage stock levels and make decisions related to ranging/ product/ price offering.Ensure all damages returned from branches and sent to Company Store according to company procedures.Manage the transportation and delivery schedules: all branches have stock by the morning and all non-sold items and damages are collected and returned to the Company Store, ensuring stock not displayed for sale.Ensure full variety of items available to the customer whether from local or foreign purchase.Maintain back-stock areas according to department standards.Increase sales and margins and ensure that profitability and targets are met in each of the fresh category.Achieve key performance indicator targets: sales, gross margin, net margin, etc.Establish and coordinate the commercial relationships with the key suppliers (local and foreign where applicable).Visit competitors to compare prices, availability and variety, and to build up new opportunities.Develop, organise and evaluate promotions according to the promotional calendar.Develop business solution to the present innovative ideas in order to improve the category indicators and appearance.Develop and implement marketing strategies, promotions and key sales & marketing events for both existing and new products.Work closely with Branch Supervisors, Purchasing Manager and Suppliers to achieve the targets.Track sales and inventory for all products and manage product inventory to avoid obsolete, overstock and out of stocks.Develop the category merchandising planograms for each branch.Ensure order and invoice accuracy.Develop (with aide from other departments) the set-up of a centralized packaging unit.Utilize the space allocated for the category in each branch in a well-studied and beneficial manner.Qualification & Requirements:
University Degree in Business Administration or a related field.Minimum of 8 years' experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar position.Deep knowledge of inventory and supply chain management.Supervisory and management experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills.Strong planning and organizational skills.Ability to work independently.
