Description for Internal Candidates

JOB SUMMARY

To directly supervise the cleanliness of the marina area, including members' boats and hotel-owned equipment. During peak times of the week, the Marina Harbor Experience Agent will ensure that all members using the pontoon facility are attended to and will assist with mooring boats as they return. As the Marina Harbor Experience Agent, it is their responsibility to uphold high service standards throughout the marina. This role also includes coordinating and supplying all boat trips with required amenities such as fruits, beverages, and equipment. The agent will carry out minor repair and maintenance tasks on the dock and within the marina, including painting, cleaning, and garbage removal from the pontoon area. Marina Harbor Experience Agent will be responsible for tractor driving and boat launching and refilling the boats with proper tracking. The Marina Harbor Experience Agent will be required to work day and night shifts according to operational needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of the role include:

  • Perform all tasks as detailed in daily task list
  • Ensure that marina and equipment is clean on a daily basis according to The Ritz-Carlton Brand Standards
  • Ensure that members boats are washed down after every use and cleaned once per week, as per boat owner contract
  • Note and follow up on guest preferences and special requests
  • Ensure that marina and water sports centre and its equipment, which also includes tractors, compressor etc are left in a clean condition at the end of each day
  • All breakages and maintenance issues are reported in the marina log book each day, reported to Beach Club Manager and followed up with until resolved.
  • Maintain pontoons with daily cleaning, repainting when necessary.
  • Refuel members boats when requested and calculate payment
  • Ensure that The Ritz-Carlton boat is always fueled and in a clean state for boat tours and trips
  • Ensure that the Ski Boat is always fueled and clean for ski trips
  • Ensure that any other boat owned by The Ritz-Carlton is Fueled and Clean ready for operation each day and at all times during the day
  • Ensure marina workshop is always tidy and keep a correct inventory of all equipment
  • Ensure that all boats in marina pontoon are secured
  • Ensure that marina pontoon is always clean and tidy, that all hose pipe is neatly on service pedestals, all service pedestals are clean, fire boxes are cleaned box on inside and outside.
  • Ensure the tractor is fully maintained and carefully driven inside the premises.
  • Ensure all the fuel transaction made according to the company policy.
  • Ensure wet reconciliation report is up to date monthly.

Water Sports

  • Handle requests for water sport hire and ensure safety standards are implemented
  • Take payment and give receipts for all hired equipment
  • Ensure that The Ritz-Carlton Water sport equipment, which includes the tour boat, is always clean and ready for guests.
  • All breakages and maintenance issues are reported in the marina log book each day and followed up with until resolved.

Communication

  • Ensure that all relevant information is provided to guests and colleagues
  • Ensure that all communication with guests and colleagues is complete, accurate, engaging and positive.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all guest information
  • Attend daily line-ups and communicate all challenges and successes with the rest of the team
  • Promptly, accurately and consistently report all guest incidents and how they were solved
  • Attend designated meetings
  • Act as the point of contact for other departments during the shift for all marina and water sport related issues
  • Ensure and emphasize prompt solutions and reporting of any guest incidents during the shift. Ensure the that the challenge is escalated to Manager if need be and ensure that all such incidents are discussed in the next line-up and in departmental meeting

Other

  • Assist other Sports Club areas as and when needed
  • Assist with other recreational activities as and when required
  • Perform all tasks as detailed in daily task list
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of work area of all times
  • Participate in related project teams

PROFILE

Experience

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years Recreation experience and 3 years in a leadership role.

Education

  • High School Graduate
  • Basic First Aid certificate

Required Skills

  • Ability to clearly communicate with proper grammar in English to the guests' understanding.
  • Ability to provide legible communication.
  • 2-Years experience in leadership role
  • 1-Year of experience in hotel industry.
  • Hold a current certification in CPR.
  • Bahrain Driver's License (heavy vehicle)
  • Ability to maintain hotel's standards, policies and procedures
  • Tractor driver
  • Good command of English language – spoken
