Job Purpose

The DevOps Engineer is responsible for bridging the gap between software development and IT operations. The role focuses on automating processes, enhancing system reliability, and improving deployment efficiency to ensure seamless integration and delivery of applications and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate code deployment and testing.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline software delivery and improve system performance.
  • Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and scalability of applications.
  • Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Support containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Ensure system security, compliance, and data protection in all deployment processes.
  • Maintain and improve monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
  • Continuously evaluate and implement new DevOps tools and best practices to enhance productivity.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (2–5 years) as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of Linux/Unix administration.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Familiarity with networking, security, and system performance monitoring.
