Senior Accountant

Position: Senior Accountant (Female)

Your Role:

As a Senior Accountant, you will be a key player in accounts department ensuring accuracy & compliance. You'll collaborate closely with division heads, management and auditors providing key insights into the accounts department.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting

• Prepare, review, and finalize monthly and annual financial statements for all divisions.
• Consolidate group accounts and ensure accurate multi-entity financial reporting.
• Maintain general ledgers, reconcile accounts, and oversee journal entries.
• Prepare management reports with clear financial insights and variance analysis.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Oversee payables, receivables, and inter-company transactions.
• Manage supplier and customer reconciliations with accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure all transactions adhere to group policies and internal controls.

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Support annual budget preparation and financial forecasting.
• Conduct cost control and profitability analysis for multiple business units.
• Provide actionable insights to management for performance improvement.

Audit, Tax & Compliance

• Coordinate with external auditors during year-end audits.
• Ensure compliance with Bahrain's VAT, tax, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain organized and confidential financial documentation.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Supervise junior accountants and support their professional growth.
• Collaborate with division managers to streamline financial operations.
• Proactively identify areas for process improvement and system enhancement.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or a related field (CPA / CMA preferred).
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in accounting, preferably within a group of companies or multi-division environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, VAT compliance, and financial consolidation.
• Excellent command of Microsoft Excel and accounting
• Strong analytical, communication and leadership skills.
• Female candidates are preferred.
