who can transform ideas into moving visuals that stop thumbs, tell stories, and bring campaigns to life. From sleek motion graphics to dynamic 2D/3D animations, you'll help shape content that connects, inspires, and elevates brands across digital and social platforms.
Role Overview
The
Animator/Motion Designer
at The Collective Creative Agency (TCCA) is a key creative force, blending artistry with technical execution to deliver animated content that drives impact. You'll work across a spectrum of projects—brand films, social media content, campaign assets, and digital explainers—ensuring every animation not only looks beautiful but also serves a strategic purpose.
As part of our creative team, you'll collaborate closely with art directors, producers, designers, and editors, interpreting briefs into compelling motion. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on storytelling through movement, stays curious about new trends and tools, and can balance creativity with precision under tight timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Animation & Motion Design (50%)
- Produce high-quality 2D/3D animations for social, brand, and campaign content.
- Translate storyboards and creative briefs into engaging motion sequences.
- Execute motion graphics, text animations, transitions, and visual effects with finesse.
- Maintain stylistic and branding consistency across all deliverables.
- Ensure animations meet technical requirements for different platforms.
Concept Development & Pre-Production (20%)
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions with creative concepts and references.
- Develop storyboards, animatics, and visual frameworks for projects.
- Research trends, visual styles, and techniques to inform creative direction.
- Work with art directors and producers to align on vision and tone.
Collaboration & Workflow (15%)
- Partner with designers, editors, and post-production to ensure cohesive output.
- Participate in reviews and refine work based on team/client feedback.
- Communicate timelines and progress clearly to project managers and producers.
File Management & Efficiency (10%)
- Keep project files organized with proper naming/version control.
- Prepare editable files for handoffs or reuse.
- Build templates, presets, and reusable assets to improve workflows.
Professional Growth & Contribution (5%)
- Stay up to date with animation tools, plugins, and emerging trends.
- Share best practices and workflow hacks with the team.
- Contribute to internal training and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Qualifications & Skills
- 2-4 years of professional animation/motion design experience (agency or production house preferred).
- Strong portfolio showcasing 2D/3D animations and motion graphics.
- Proficiency in After Effects, Premiere Pro and 3D software - beginner to intermediate experience (Cinema 4D, Blender, or equivalent).
- Solid understanding of visual storytelling, pacing, and design principles.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Bonus Points For
- Experience in advertising or creative agency environments.
- Knowledge in visual design / graphic design.
- Knowledge of sound design for motion graphics.
- Familiarity with 3rd party plugins (Red Giant, Duik, etc.) or advanced compositing.
- Knowledge in planar and 3D tracking, rotoscopy and chroma keying.
- Ability to edit short-form video for social platforms.
