Mechanical QC Engineer

We are constantly growing and are currently looking for Mechanical QC Engineer to join a top qualified and knowledgeable quality controls team in one of our projects in Bahrain.

What you will need to do:

1. Review all submittals including but not limited to technical and material submittals.
2. Assist the QC manager in all activities related to the 3 phase inspection process for mechanical activities.
3. Monitor all phases and processes required for the effective completion of all related Mechanical works and in particular issues of design, procurement, construction and final handover of the related Mechanical works.
4. Monitor the implementation of Method Statements, and Inspection & Test Plans related to Mechanical works, and ensure all necessary records are generated in a timely manner in their area of assigned responsibility.
5. Manage the inspection and testing of Mechanical works in their area of assigned responsibilities, including monitoring the work of QC Inspectors under their authority.
6. Monitor the close out of punch lists established for incomplete related to Mechanical works.
7. Monitor all measurement & testing instruments employed for Mechanical works, ensuring they are functional and calibrated.
8. Witness, review and approve welder qualifications and WPS, PQR qualifications.
9. Liaise and coordinate with 3rd Party Testing /Inspection Company as required related to Mechanical works.
10. Conduct statistical analysis and evaluation of test data related to Mechanical works.
11. Prepare, file, and maintain test/inspection records and any other quality records generated related to Mechanical works.
12. Assist construction personnel to identify and resolve problems and potential or actual non-conformances related to Mechanical works.
13. Advise the QC Manager of non-conformance occurrences and where necessary, raise a Non-conformance Report for non-compliant work, and monitor the closeout and effectiveness of the correction and corrective action undertaken.
14. Witness all NDT and Mechanical testing (including hydro testing, pneumatic testing, etc.) specified.
15. Attend and witness all Client verification of work (inspection, test and the like) on site, and coordinate close out of any and all outstanding issues related to Civil works.
16. Where required, assist in the preparation of final documents for certification.
17. Assist in the systems commissioning as required.
18. Perform any other related duties as assigned.

What you will need to have:

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Min. 7 years as a quality control mechanical engineer
• Experience in mega projects is a must.
• Preferably with experience in US Army projects.
