Mechanical QC Engineer

We are constantly growing and are currently looking for Mechanical QC Engineer to join a top qualified and knowledgeable quality controls team in one of our projects in Bahrain.

What you will need to do:

1. Review all submittals including but not limited to technical and material submittals.
2. Assist the QC manager in all activities related to the 3-phase inspection process for mechanical activities.
3. Monitor all phases and processes required for the effective completion of all related Mechanical works, particularly issues of design, procurement, construction, and final handover.
4. Monitor the implementation of Method Statements, and Inspection & Test Plans related to Mechanical works, ensuring all necessary records are generated in a timely manner.
5. Manage the inspection and testing of Mechanical works, including monitoring the work of QC Inspectors under their authority.
6. Monitor the closeout of punch lists established for incomplete Mechanical works.
7. Ensure all measurement & testing instruments employed for Mechanical works are functional and calibrated.
8. Witness, review, and approve welder qualifications and WPS, PQR qualifications.
9. Liaise and coordinate with 3rd Party Testing/Inspection Company as required.
10. Conduct statistical analysis and evaluation of test data related to Mechanical works.
11. Prepare, file, and maintain test/inspection records and any other quality records related to Mechanical works.
12. Assist construction personnel in identifying and resolving problems and potential or actual non-conformances related to Mechanical works.
13. Advise the QC Manager of non-conformance occurrences and, where necessary, raise a Non-conformance Report for non-compliant work, monitoring the closeout and effectiveness of the corrective actions undertaken.
14. Witness all NDT and Mechanical testing (including hydro testing, pneumatic testing, etc.) specified.
15. Attend and witness all Client verification of work (inspection, test, and the like) on site, coordinating the closeout of any outstanding issues related to Civil works.
16. Assist in the preparation of the final document for certification where required.
17. Assist in systems commissioning as required.
18. Perform any other related duties as assigned.

What you will need to have:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
2. Minimum 7 years as a quality control mechanical engineer
3. Experience in mega projects is a must.
4. Preferably with experience in US Army projects.
