About UsUnder the general direction of a direct superior and within the limits of established IHG policies and procedures, provide support in documentation and record keeping for training and ensure Learning & Development supports the business. Your day to day- Report to the Supervisor.
- Ensure cleanliness of the swimming pool and surrounding areas.
- Check and log water and chemical readings regularly.
- Follow daily checklists and procedures.
- Assist colleagues, including therapist and receptionist, during their absence.
- Serve guests by providing towels, loungers, and setting up the pool area.
- Report relevant information to the health club in charge.
- Attend staff meetings and training on lifeguarding and first aid.
- Monitor the pool and ensure safety of users.
- Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.
- Participate in health club events.
- Assist in selling memberships.
- Prevent accidents and intervene in unsafe behavior.
- Identify emergencies and respond appropriately, providing first aid when needed.
- Maintain pool cleanliness with vacuuming and brushing.
- Physical fitness to stand, bend, and kneel for most of the day.
- Good reading, writing, and basic math skills.
- Flexibility for night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
- Excellent communication skills, warm and welcoming demeanor.
- Certified lifeguard.
