Job Description
  1. Report punctually, wearing the correct uniform and name badges at all times.
  2. Organize shift in the section regarding mise-en-place, production, and service.
  3. Assign tasks to Demi Chefs and Commis Chefs, ensuring proper execution.
  4. Prepare daily wine, dry store, food requisitions, and kitchen transfers for approval by the Executive Chef / Executive Sous Chef to maintain high stock rotation.
  5. Maintain good colleague relations and motivate team members.
  6. Conduct and ensure understanding of one-to-one training sessions.
  7. Check daily food preparation for portion size, quantity, and quality as per recipe standards.
  8. Complete daily checklist for mise-en-place and food storage.
  9. Attend daily and monthly meetings with the Chef de Cuisine and as scheduled by the Executive Chef / Executive Sous Chef.
  10. Report machinery and equipment issues to the Chef de Cuisine and follow up on repairs.
  11. Monitor the main information board for updates on banquets and organizational changes.
  12. Keep the section clean and tidy.
  13. Pass all relevant information to the next shift.
  14. Record accidents and sickness in the logbook and report to the Executive Chef / Executive Sous Chef.
  15. Supervise Demi Chefs / Commis Chefs regarding personal hygiene and conduct.
  16. Assist in creating new recipes and menu ideas.
  17. Adhere to company policies on fire safety, hygiene, and safety protocols.
  18. Perform other tasks of a similar nature as required.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Strong leadership, training, and motivational skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under stress in a fast-paced environment.
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a CDP position.
