Job Overview:

Seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Finance Officer to join a growing team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Accounts Payable (AP) or Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions and compliance with organizational and regulatory policies. The Finance Officer will play a critical role in supporting the finance department's daily operations, ensuring efficient processing of invoices, payments, and collections.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Accounts Payable (AP):
    1. Process and manage supplier invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
    2. Verify and reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies.
    3. Monitor payment schedules and prepare payment batches.
    4. Collaborate with procurement and other departments to ensure proper documentation and approvals.
  2. Accounts Receivable (AR):
    1. Issue customer invoices and ensure timely collection of payments.
    2. Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue payments.
    3. Reconcile customer accounts and address any discrepancies.
    4. Coordinate with sales and customer service teams on billing and collections.
  3. Financial Reporting:
    1. Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports.
    2. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documents and information.
    3. Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  4. General Finance Support:
    1. Assist with bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring.
    2. Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes.
    3. Identify process improvements and support automation initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. 2-4 years of experience in finance, with a focus on Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable.
  3. Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel (experience with ERP systems is a plus).
  4. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
