Chef de Partie is responsible for the production of all pastry items following standard recipes and ensuring the highest quality products. This role involves supervising colleagues efficiently, striving to keep working hours optimized without compromising quality, and maintaining hygiene and safety standards as per company guidelines. Additionally, the Chef de Partie will create a departmental culture of motivation, team spirit, and creativity.

General Duties
  • Produce pastries, cakes, desserts, chocolates, petit fours, and ice cream, ensuring compliance with prescribed recipes and specifications.
  • Assist in keeping records on stock levels and store all semi-finished and finished bakery products properly to minimize spoilage.
  • Monitor the proper handling and storage of all produce to keep spoilage to a minimum.
  • Supervise all pastry service throughout the property.
  • Ensure the smooth running of this section while maintaining cuisine and hygiene standards.
  • Standardize and communicate all pastry recipes to pastry personnel.
  • Ensure all goods are stored correctly and hygienically in accordance with HACCP specifications.
  • Promote a positive working atmosphere.
  • Work well independently and in a team environment.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience at the Pastry supervisor level.
  • Strong basic knowledge and skills in pastry and bakery.
  • Good understanding of western pastry basics.
  • Experience in a luxury 5-star environment is a must.
  • Ability to work in and support a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to contribute effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Creative mindset and ability to perform under high pressure.
  • Flexible and able to embrace and respond to change effectively.
