The role of a Firefighter at Vectrus requires physical stamina and adaptability to work in hazardous and stressful conditions.

Main Responsibilities:

Lift up to 50 lbs., stoop, climb, stand for prolonged periods, sit for prolonged periods, and work in areas where exposure to weather could exist.
Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in certain areas, including head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
Comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations, and published Company work rules.

Requirements:

One year of experience may be substituted for one year of education if a degree is required.
Preferred certifications include Firefighter I and II, Airport Firefighter, Hazmat Awareness/Operations, Confined Space, Rescue Technician, American Heart CPR, and National Registry Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (NREMT-B).
Driver/Operator Certification for Pumper, Tender, and ARFF is also required.
NIMS 100, 200, 700, and 800 certifications are necessary.
Certifications must be posted on DOD, IFSAC, or Pro-Board Accreditation websites or able to be reciprocated to DOD.
Excellent communication and cognitive skills are essential for handling emergency operations.
Good computer skills are necessary for daily reporting requirements.
Interpersonal skills are crucial for effective team dynamics.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access, is required.
At least 3-5 years' experience with an organized fire department is preferred.
