Job Description: SCIF Security Officer

Must possess a current US Passport with the ability to travel and work overseas.

Must meet COMSEC briefing and Local Element management certification requirements available under the OPNAVINST 2201.4, DoD Instruction 8523.01, and Air Force Manual 17-1301.

Must complete an in-scope (per current DoD 6-year reinvestigation requirement), favorable, ST5 investigation (including SBPR, PPR, T5R, or current enrollment in the DoD Continuous Evaluation (CE) / Continuous Vetting (CV) program), adjudicated for SCI eligibility by the DoD Central Adjudication Facility (DoD CAF) without conditions, exceptions, or waivers at the time of performance, and maintain the security level for the duration of the contract.

Must possess a TS/SCI Security Clearance.

Experience Required
  • Preferred: prior experience and operational knowledge in executing all special security tasks, including physical, personnel, and information security at the SCI level.
  • Preferred: experience in maintaining SCIF operational records and accreditation documents to ensure compliance and interpret security directives.
  • Ten years of military experience.
Job Objective

Under a five-year contract, the SCIF Security Officer will support the United States Marine Corps Forces, Central Command (MARCENT) and subordinate commands, specifically supporting the 5th MEB located in Bahrain. The role involves providing professional services for MARCENT at MacDill AFB, Florida, and supporting tactical command and control, planning, and operational execution within CENTCOM's AOR.

Responsibilities
  • Provide SCIF management and operational services.
  • Support the G-2 Special Security Office with operational tasks.
  • Execute all security tasks at the SCI level, including physical, personnel, and information security.
  • Manage SCIF operations and administration, maintaining records and accreditation documents.
  • Oversee SCI material handling, including accounting, storage, and disposal.
  • Report violations, security incidents, and conduct risk assessments.
  • Provide expert security support, including intelligence community security and SCI access adjudication using DISS and NBIS.
Education & Certification
  • Current US Passport and ability to travel overseas.
  • Meet certification requirements under OPNAVINST 2201.4, DoD 8523.01, and AF Manual 17-1301.
  • Complete a favorable ST5 investigation, adjudicated for SCI eligibility, and maintain security clearance for the contract duration.
Security Clearance
  • TS/SCI Security Clearance required.
Work Location
  • 5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade, Task Force 51/5, Naval Support Activity Bahrain, Manama, Bahrain.
  • Travel support for various countries within CENTCOM AOR, with readiness for short-notice deployment.
