Chef-Salans is a vibrant new local brand debuting in Bahrain with plans to expand throughout the Middle East. Our restaurant spans three floors with outdoor seating, accommodating up to 80 guests.

Our Concept

We offer a dynamic blend of Japanese and Mexican cuisines, delivering an innovative fusion experience with a menu that includes Robata grills, sushi, tempura, and Mexican-inspired tapas.

Unique Dining Experience

Our restaurant aims to provide a unique dining experience on each floor, featuring live music and a fun, modern atmosphere.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Create and regularly update the menu by drawing inspiration from notable establishments and personal culinary innovation.
  2. Ensure the highest quality of food preparation and presentation.
  3. Oversee the kitchen's culinary operations, including the creation of unique sauces and dishes that blend Japanese and Mexican elements.
  4. Manage all kitchen operations, including staff training in both hot and cold kitchen processes, recipe standardization, inventory control, and cost management.
  5. Maintain food costs within the 20-25% target range.
  6. Lead by example as a team player and a hands-on leader.
  7. Recruit, train, and motivate a culturally diverse kitchen team of 8-10 members.
  8. Foster a cooperative team environment.
  9. Efficiently manage food and labor costs, contributing to the profitability of the restaurant.

Requirements

  1. Culinary degree from a recognized culinary school or institute.
  2. 4-6 years of experience as a Head Chef in an upscale restaurant, with proven expertise in Japanese and Mexican cuisines.
  3. Demonstrated ability in menu development and execution with a creative culinary approach.
  4. Strong operational management skills, with experience in training staff, inventory management, and cost control.
  5. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  6. Flexibility to relocate to Bahrain and willingness to travel as needed.
