Key Responsibilities:

Market Research & Data Collection:

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and potential opportunities in the energy and related sectors.
  • Support and aim to lead on deal sourcing and building an investment funnel.
  • Gather and analyze data from multiple sources to support investment decision-making processes.
  • Monitor industry developments, providing timely updates to the investment team on market conditions and relevant news.
  • Develop and maintain investment deal flow and funnel with detailed database and scoring.
  • Assist in the development of detailed scoring and financial models to evaluate investment opportunities, including projections, valuations, and sensitivity analyses.
  • Support the investment team by analyzing financial statements, performance metrics, and KPIs for potential and existing portfolio companies.
  • Contribute to the refinement of scoring and financial models by incorporating market and economic data.
  • Draft initial versions of investment memoranda, highlighting key findings, risks, and recommendations for prospective investments.
  • Prepare presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders, summarizing research findings and financial analysis.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to refine investment proposals and strategies.
  • Support and prepare all documentation related to internal and external meetings where required.
  • Assist in the ongoing monitoring of portfolio companies, tracking performance against key financial and operational metrics.
  • Prepare regular portfolio reports, ensuring accurate and timely updates on portfolio performance for the leadership team.
  • Support portfolio review meetings by providing research, analysis, and insights on current investments.
  • Ability to support senior team and CEO on reporting and other related activities.
  • Participate in the preliminary due diligence process for potential investments, evaluating the viability of opportunities through research and data collection.
  • Assist in gathering and organizing documentation for more formal due diligence processes.
  • Provide analytical support to senior team members during deal negotiations and closing.
