A Business Development role is a key player in driving the growth and success of an organization. They are responsible for identifying new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with potential clients, and expanding the company's market presence. This role also involves project management, marketing, business strategy, and operations.

Roles and Responsibilities of Business Development

  1. Prospecting Opportunities: Actively seek potential clients, markets, and business opportunities. Conduct market research, analyze industry trends, and identify markets to pursue.
  2. Building and Maintaining Client/Partner Relationships: Establish and nurture relationships with clients and partners through strategic networking and attending events to expand TARTEEB's database.
  3. Sales/Revenue Generation: Drive sales and generate revenue for the company.
  4. Developing and Implementing Business Development Strategies: Create and execute business development plans aligned with TARTEEB goals, focusing on penetrating new markets and exploring partnerships to expand the company's reach.
  5. Collaboration with Internal Teams: Collaborate with marketing, design, and events teams to support projects and business development initiatives.

Additional Responsibilities

  1. Performance Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate the performance of the customer service team and provide guidance.
  2. Project Traffic Control: Oversee project workload, balance tasks, and manage workflow platforms, including report generation and project administration.
  3. Marketing: Prepare and maintain all marketing assets and contents, ensuring they are updated and available for use.
  4. Expansion Activities: Participate in expansion initiatives, manage relationships with international partners/vendors.
  5. Reporting: Report directly to the General Manager.

  • Number of potential customers or prospects per month
  • Conversion rate: at least one lead converted to a paying client per month
  • Average sales length based on weekly internal reports
  • Number of successful tender proposals submitted

Relationship Building KPIs

  • Client and partner retention rate
  • Customer satisfaction score based on surveys and feedback
  • Average response time to inquiries

Market Expansion KPIs

  • Success in entering new markets
  • Number of strategic partnerships formed
