Overall Role Purpose
  1. To carry out maintenance, repair, modifications, and alterations to customer or company-owned, leased, or operated aircraft.
  2. Supervises licensed engineers and unlicensed maintenance mechanics. Has authorization to release aircraft back to service for which he is legally entitled to certify.
  3. Technical role with authorization to release aircraft back to service for which he is legally entitled to certify.
  4. Maintaining highest possible technical DRR whilst assessing multiple factors surrounding aircraft serviceability.
Your Tasks:
  1. Ensure aircraft maintenance is performed to the highest standards and in compliance with applicable and approved data.
  2. Communicate information from his shift to supervisors and the next shift to ensure safety and continuity regarding aircraft, equipment, personnel, and safety.
  3. Requisition parts from stores, ensure their serviceability, complete tags, return parts, and ensure proper documentation.
  4. Ensure all maintenance documentation is properly completed.
  5. Stay updated on regulations, Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, manufacturer's service letters, and other publications.
  6. Adhere to safety precautions and safe practices, reporting unsafe conditions or equipment to the Line Manager.
  7. Operate and maintain company-owned and operated maintenance and ground support equipment safely and in good condition.
  8. Keep maintenance areas tidy and tools in controlled environments.
  9. Act on behalf of Line Supervisor or Line Manager as required.
  10. Input aircraft Tech Log and Work Order information into the TRAX maintenance program and write shift turnover reports.
  11. Provide Flying Spanner Support when required.
  12. Assist with AD HOC Aircraft AOG recovery support as needed.
  13. Analyze and troubleshoot aircraft systems and engines using manuals, references, and practical experience.
  14. Make timely, appropriate decisions based on problem-solving skills, maintaining objectivity and coordination with relevant departments, especially under pressure.
  15. Prioritize work based on fleet schedules, monitor progress, anticipate problems, and adjust schedules to ensure optimal serviceability, including providing technical support during flights.
