We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Purchasing Director to lead our procurement team, drive sourcing initiatives and advance business objectives.
About the PositionWith extensive experience in supermarket purchasing or FMCG procurement, you will oversee supplier relationships, negotiate contracts and analyze market trends to inform purchasing decisions, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with business objectives and execute them effectively.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships: Leverage industry knowledge to establish and nurture partnerships with suppliers and vendors.
- Collaborate with inventory and sales teams to ensure optimal inventory levels and product availability, driving operational efficiency.
- Strong educational background in procurement or a related field, complemented by relevant work experience.
- Exceptional negotiation and contract management skills: Successfully negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships and resolve disputes.
- Ability to analyze market trends, make informed purchasing decisions and optimize business outcomes.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining strong supplier relationships: Foster long-term partnerships that drive mutual growth and success.
