Company Overview: Gulf University, Kingdom Of Bahrain is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Operating Officer to lead our administrative operations. The COO will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and oversight to ensure the efficient management of our university's resources. Job Description: The Chief Operating Officer will report directly to the President of the University and be responsible for overseeing various departments including Finance, Human Resources, IT, and Facilities and Purchasing. This role requires a strong leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage staff and implement administrative processes. Responsibilities: Provide advice and recommendations to the President on strategic matters Supervise staff administrative activities and ensure compliance with policies and procedures Oversee the management of finances, collections, and purchases Manage buildings and grounds, including repair, construction, and remodeling Ensure effective recruitment, contracting, termination, training, development, and induction programs for administrative staff Submit an annual report on administrative and financial operations to the President Requirements: The ideal candidate must have a Ph D recognized by the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Bahrain, as well as relevant academic and administrative experience. They should possess a high professional reputation, good conduct, and behavior, and not have been convicted of a crime involving moral turpitude or dishonesty. Additionally, they should have strong leadership and decision-making skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to adapt to changes.
