Human Resources Officer

We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Human Resources Officer to establish and manage our HR function. As our organization is in the process of building its HR infrastructure, this role is ideal for someone eager to take ownership of setting up core HR systems, policies, and processes from scratch. You will also support day-to-day HR operations, ensure compliance, and contribute to a positive employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
HR System & Process Setup
• Assist in identifying, evaluating, and implementing an HR software system tailored to the company's needs.
• Create and document foundational HR processes such as recruitment, onboarding, leave management, and performance tracking.
• Develop and maintain accurate employee databases and digital HR records.
Recruitment & Onboarding
• Manage end-to-end recruitment: job postings, screening, interviews, and offers.
• Lead onboarding processes and ensure smooth integration of new employees.
Policy & Compliance
• Draft, update, and implement HR policies aligned with local labor laws and company culture.
• Ensure organizational compliance with employment legislation and regulatory requirements.
Tamkeen Program Management
• Understand and stay up to date with Tamkeen support programs.
• Manage employee registrations, documentation, and communication with Tamkeen to ensure proper and timely utilization of available funding and support.
Employee Support & Engagement
• Serve as a point of contact for employee questions, requests, and concerns.
• Support initiatives that promote employee satisfaction, performance, and retention.
Performance & Development
• Assist in rolling out performance review frameworks and tracking development goals.
• Coordinate employee learning and training opportunities.
Administrative & General HR Duties
• Maintain personnel files and assist with payroll inputs and benefit coordination.
• Take on new HR responsibilities as the company evolves, with a flexible and solution-driven mindset.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2–4 years of HR experience, ideally including exposure to systems setup or policy design.
• Familiarity with Bahraini labor laws and HR best practices.
• Direct experience working with or applying Tamkeen programs is highly preferred.
• Experience with HRIS or willingness to learn and implement digital tools.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of working independently.
