Civil Quantity Surveyor

As a Civil Quantity Surveyor in an EPC construction company, you will be responsible for overseeing all civil-related cost aspects of construction projects, including estimating, budgeting, procurement support, and financial reporting. You will work closely with the project team to ensure that the civil works are executed within budget, comply with design specifications, and are completed on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:- Cost Estimation and Procurement:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for civil works.
- Develop bills of quantities and take-offs for foundations, plinths, supports, duct banks, etc.
- Assist in preparing tender documents and evaluating bids for civil subcontractors.
- Support procurement of civil materials in coordination with the project team.
- Site Coordination:
- Liaise with site engineers to align civil works with mechanical and electrical installations.
- Ensure civil work readiness for MEP and equipment installation (e.g., cable trays, HVAC units, pump bases).
- Contract & Cost Management:
- Monitor work progress and variations; update cost reports accordingly.
- Validate subcontractor bills and certify payments based on work done.
- Prepare interim and final payment applications.
- Change & Variation Management:
- Identify and evaluate variations or changes in scope.
- Prepare variation orders and submit cost implications for approval.
- Quality & Compliance:
- Ensure civil works comply with project specifications, safety standards, and relevant codes.
- Coordinate with QA/QC for inspections and approvals.
- Reporting:
- Generate regular reports on civil cost status, progress, and risks.
- Assist the estimation manager/project manager with estimation, budget updates, and forecasts.
