Responsibilities Ensure that all commissioning activities are completed safely, efficiently, and well documented as per company policy and procedure. Provide day-to-day support to commissioning engineer/supervisor/commissioning coordinator. Responsible for witnessing piping air blowing, pigging, operational leak test, nitrogen purging. Responsible for MEI & PSSR walkdown & punch closeout. Project documents review and share Comment Review Sheet (CRS) with document approver. Prepare leak test & nitrogen purging mark-up P&ID, method statement documents before pre-commissioning activities. Responsible for performing motor solo run test, confirming Direction of Rotation (DOR) and Pump MRT test, wherever applicable. Responsible to provide CSO/CSC as per P&ID. Responsible for witness control narratives, cause & effect, alarm trip schedule. Ensuring safe and efficient operation, troubleshooting, and addressing critical on-site issues. Receive allocated duties and review scope of work to understand project requirements. Arrange PTW, work method statements, Risk Assess Managements (RAMS), and toolbox talks to be completed in line with HSE requirements prior to work start-up. Review/plan execution of works on operational activities; ability to lead a team of sub-contractors and safely execute the work. Liaise with other disciplines to ensure work fronts are available as required. Supervise all pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities for assigned systems/sub-systems, including preparation activities, coordinating resources, expediting documentation, attending walk-downs, and formally agreeing and categorizing punch-list items. Support Lead Engineer or Supervisor to ensure that all applicable environmental, process, and safety technical policies are fully integrated and implemented. Prepare and maintain commission records of site observations, testing processes, and checklists. Look for initiatives to improve the work within pre-commissioning and commissioning. Prepare and review all required documents and test sheets to safely execute the work (leak test, pigging, purging, certificates & RLM drawings) and compile relevant documentation to support handover and acceptance of systems to Operations Group. Ability to execute FAT/SAT/loop/functional tests during work execution. Ensure all test equipment is calibrated and certified (PSV, pressure gauge, gas detector). Ensure that commissioning procedures are adhered to and complete all necessary documentation to facilitate work. Ensure full compliance with company fire & safety environment procedures/standards in all executed work tasks. Identify potential HSE risks (related to construction, commissioning, process) and take appropriate steps to mitigate them. Provide input to concerns to ensure minimum standby time for vendor representatives and avoid their revisits. Assist in performing various activities related to pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up of process systems and stabilization. Inspect all systems for operational readiness. Ensure LOTO is implemented for both electrical and mechanical equipment for safe commissioning and start-up of systems/plants. Control the commissioning area, ensuring all energized systems are clearly marked and barricaded off, with access control in place. SIMOPS (simultaneous operations) are carefully assessed and controlled. Ensure that the pre-commissioning & commissioning documents of the dossiers are accurate and complete before they are accepted from construction and before they are submitted to the operations department.
