Role Overview
We are looking for a passionate Senior Business Analyst to transform our data into valuable insights that will support us in making informed business decisions. The person will solve problems, work on problems independently, and guide more junior team members. The Senior Business Analyst specializes in an area of work, collaborates with one or two teams, and is a go-to person for their specific domain.
Main Responsibilities

Data collection, analysis, and reporting. Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems, ensuring that outdated portfolios are updated while unneeded reports are archived.
Act as a thought leader and technical leader for business or product units.
Manage independent, end-to-end, open-ended complex problems.
Understand the business vision and insight requirements and collect requirements for new data analyses accordingly.
Collaborate with leadership to identify and address broad scope impacts.
Proactively identify and tackle important problems.
Identify, interpret, and analyze data in complex data sets and provide ongoing reports.
Discover workarounds and solutions for complicated projects and MVPs.
Write executive summaries with the conclusions of the data analysis produced.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

Must be a proficient communicator in English.
Previous experience as a Data Analyst or any related field.
BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics.

Knowledge & Competency

Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, such as SQL, Python, R, or equivalent programming languages.
Experience with data visualization platforms like Metabase, Quick Sight, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
Understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and data architecture concepts is a plus.
Knowledge of statistics and experience using spreadsheets for analyzing datasets (Excel, Google Sheets).
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
Outstanding communication and presentation skills; is comfortable with presenting their work in public.
Display good work ethic, resourcefulness, and organization.
Must be able to work under pressure and manage time accordingly.
Strong time-management skills.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, balancing multiple projects and deadlines.
Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.
Capable of managing multiple tasks.
