This job aims to enhance the retention rate of returning students at AUBH and mitigate the risk of losing students due to low academic performance. The job holder is responsible for monitoring and tracking the academic progression of students who do not meet the University requirement for good academic standing.
**Duties and Responsibilities include**:
- Advise students at risk about the selection of courses during the registration process.
- Ensure that students at risk register in a timely manner and with the appropriate workload.
- Monitor the at-risk students’ attendance and follow up with them in case of missing classes.
- Coordinate meetings between students and their academic advisors and/or the University counselor.
- Monitor the at-risk students’ academic performance during the semester and follow up with them to provide advice and support.
- Manage and coordinate the Elevate program to support at-risk students through various interventions, such as remedial classes and review sessions.
- Analyze and report data related to the academic performance and progression of at-risk students by the end of each semester.
- Coordinate academic appeal meetings as required.
- Assist in any other capacity when required.
**Requirements**:
**Qualifications and Experience required**:
- Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in Psychology or Education.
- Three years of full-time professional experience, preferably in an educational context such as a university or high school.
- Professional certification or experience in teaching and learning is an advantage.
**Skills and Competencies required**:
- Ability to work independently with minimum direction and strict adherence to deadlines while handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of university policies and regulations related to registration and progression.
- Ability to proactively work collaboratively with various internal and external constituencies.
- Demonstrate commitment to student success.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills both in English (US) and Arabic.
- Excellent planning and organization skills.
