**Traffic Engineer**

Bahrain

**Role**:
The Traffic Engineer will be responsible for the following:

- Traffic Signal Design - Experience in the preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates for traffic signal construction.
- Signal Timing - Experience with development and implementation of signal timings, including data collection, and programming of signal timings is a plus.
- Safety Analysis - Experience in conducting crash analyses, including preparing collision diagrams and proposing crash mitigation. Application of the Highway Safety Manual is a plus.
- Reviewing and advising the contractor’s traffic diversion plans and monitoring traffic diversion works.
- Traffic signs and Markings - Experience in reviewing the traffic signs and markings and provide advice to the contractors.
- Coordination with the government authorities related to traffic diversion works.

**Qualifications**:

- 10+ years of experience as a traffic/transportation engineer; experience with hands-on traffic simulation using software programs such as Synchro/SimTraffic, VISSIM, HCS, etc.
- Intelligent Transportation Systems design experience is a definite plus.
- Proficient working knowledge of, and strong hands-on experience with, major types of technical analyses (including traffic impact analyses, safety studies, signal corridor studies, capacity analyses, signal designs).
