Manama, Bahrain Asdal Gulf Inn Full time

Ensures that all standards of performance are met in terms of cleanliness throughout the hotel in both guest room as well as in public areas to the standard laid down in the service standard manual.
- Ensures the property maintenance programme is effectively carried out on a daily basis for public area and guest rooms to the standard laid down in the service standard manual.
- Train and develop all staff to the desired level of skills and knowledge & competency required to the standard laid down in the service standars manual.
- Assists in the controlling of all operating expenses within the budget requirements.
- Liaise with Front Office for guest and hotel requirements.
- Prioritise arrival rooms, Perform Room allocations, Perform Room inspections
- Ensure guest valet is processed and delivered in a timely manner.
- Management of lost property for the hotel.
- Creates and maintains a good working relationship with other departments.
- Assists in ensuring the safe use handling and maintenance of chemicals & equipment.
- Assists with the departmental administration.
- Completes purchase requisition with adequate lead - time and to ensure goods received are correct and logged in the goods received book.
- Assists in meeting with the vendors/ suppliers to investigate new products.
- Monitors productivity and output off all staff
- Assists guest request in a prompt manner.
- Opens shifts and assigns staff to the designated areas to the standard laid down in the service standard manual.
- Supervises activities of public area staff to ensure clean safe and well supplied toilets, public rooms, F&B area / outlets / janitor rooms and stores to the standard laid down in the service standard manual.
- Supervises and monitors activities of contract cleaning companies.
- Checks all public area equipment are clean, safe and appropriately used by public area staff.
- Set up and execute periodical cleaning schedules to the standard laid down in the service standard manual.
- Reports any maintenance requirement to the maintenance department.
- Checks and set up stores and janitor rooms with sufficient supplies.
- Participates in inventory taking of the department.
- Monitors and coordinates functions to ensure service to the standard laid down in the service standard manual.
- Keeps daily log book on all activities.
- Provides and maintains the highest standard of guest care and service.
- Assists your head of department in roistering staff effectively.
- To have a good knowledge of all hotel facilities and be able to answer guest questions in a quick, polite and helpful manner.
- To handle any guest complaints or problems promptly and to ensure that all resolved/unresolved incidents are reported to your Supervisor.
- To act on your responsibilities for Health and Safety at work.
- To maintain your departmental area in a safe, hygienic and presentable state at all times and to report any damage to furniture, fittings and equipment to your Supervisor.
- Comply with Hotel Rules and Regulations and provisions contained in the Employment Handbook
- Comply with Company Grooming Standards
- Comply with Time and Attendance Policies
- Attend to all briefings, Maintain personal hygiene
- Performance according to company standards and HACCP rules.
- Performs any other duties as assigned to him/her by the Executive Housekeeper / Company.
